Fans of Star Plus’ beloved series “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” were taken aback when the production house issued an official statement announcing the departure of Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe from the show, terminating their contracts. While Shehzada Dhami’s dismissal stemmed from reported unprofessional conduct and tantrums, the makers were dissatisfied with Pratiksha Honmukhe’s portrayal.
In the latest development, Garvita Sadhwani, known for her stint as Mrunal in “Baatein Kuch Ankhaee Si,” has been approached to assume the role of Roohi. Garvita Sharma would be poised to take on the role if things worked out.
Media reports also suggest that Rohit Purohit may step in as a replacement for Shehzada Dhami. With a notable portfolio including roles in “Porus,” “Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji,” “Udaariyaan,” and “Dhadkan Zindagii Kii,” Rohit Purohit is speculated to bring his talent to the series.
