CID is back on TV after 6 years with the original cast, and the first look has fans feeling nostalgic



The beloved television show CID is making its comeback! Fans of this iconic series are thrilled as it returns with its original cast. Today, the first look was unveiled, and it has already created a buzz online.

On October 24, Sony TV’s Instagram page shared the teaser for CID. The video opens with a close-up of Dayanand Shetty’s eyes, with blood dripping from his forehead, while the show’s signature music plays in the background. Next, viewers see Shivaji Satam, portraying ACP Pradyuman, stepping out of a car with an umbrella. As the scene shifts, a close-up of Aditya Srivastava, who plays Abhijeet, appears, accompanied by the sound of a ticking time bomb and a gunshot. The teaser announces that the CID promo will be released on October 26, stating, “Mark your calendars – 26th October ko hoga ek dhamakedar promo drop!”

Once the teaser went live, fans flocked to the comments section, sharing their excitement. Many expressed nostalgia, recalling the show’s popularity in their childhood. One fan wrote, “CID is back. Bachpan is Back.” Another chimed in, “CID is back. I literally can’t believe this is happening.” Someone else said, “Mera BACHPAN wapas aagaya. Thank You Sony.” Former cast members Ansha Sayed and Shraddha Musale also shared their excitement with comments like “Finally” and “Looks deadly.”

For those who might not know, CID went off the air on October 27, 2018, after a remarkable 20-year run on Sony TV, making it one of the longest-running series in Indian television history.

Alongside Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, the show features Aditya Srivastava as Senior Inspector Abhijeet and Dayanand Shetty as Senior Inspector Daya. The cast also included late Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks, Narendra Gupta as Dr. Salunkhe, Hrishikesh Pandey as Senior Inspector Sachin, Ansha Sayed as Inspector Purvi, Vivek Mashru as Sub-Inspector Vivek, and Shraddha Musale as Dr. Tarika, among others.
