The unfortunate incident took place earlier this week in Florence, where the couple’s car was broken into, and their belongings were stolen. The robbery occurred while their car was parked outside a resort, and the thieves managed to take their passports, important documents, cash, and other items.
In the aftermath of the robbery, Divyanka contacted Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, expressing her frustration: “Dear PM Ms Giorgia Meloni, we were passionately touring Italy until we got robbed and reported to the police. But robberies are being taken so casually here that we have already lost hope and enthusiasm. How will I & my people ever gather the courage to revisit Italy?”
