Among these, the festival of Onam celebrated predominantly in the southern state of Kerala, stands out as a testament to unity, prosperity, and age-old traditions. Naveen Sharma, renowned for his role as Aryan in Zee TV’s beloved series “Kumkum Bhagya,” shares his thoughts on this cherished festival that transcends regional boundaries and invites everyone to partake in its grandeur.

Onam holds not only historical but also cultural significance, weaving a narrative that resonates with the spirit of unity among people. Naveen, although not hailing from South India, is drawn into the festive fervour through a close friend in Mumbai. The way in which Onam transcends geographical confines and connects people from different backgrounds showcases the universal appeal of this festival.

The actor says, ”Onam has a historical and cultural significance with our country and symbolizes unity and prosperity among people. Since I am not a South Indian, I get to participate in this splendid festival through one of my friends here in Mumbai. The highlight of the whole festival is the creation of Pookalam (flower rangoli), the preparation of Onasadya (grand feast), and the arranging of the Thiruvathira Kali dance. It is not just a festival but a beautiful tapestry woven with love, traditions, and unity. May this auspicious occasion bring joy, prosperity, and togetherness to all our lives. Happy Onam.”
