The Star Plus show “Teri Meri Doriyaann” has been making headlines due to a significant plot twist involving the death of its main character, Sahiba. Himanshi Parashar, who portrayed Sahiba, has been retained in the series to play a completely new character.
Following Sahiba’s tragic demise, characters Akeer and Angad (Vijayendra Kumeria), were left devastated. Their emotions are further stirred when they encounter Gurnoor, who bears a striking resemblance to Sahiba. Gurnoor is introduced as a singer seeking employment as a music teacher with a mysterious past. However, Akeer finds solace in her presence and grows closer to her, while Angad also feels an inexplicable connection with her. Despite this dramatic development, speculation about the show’s potential closure has been rife.
The changes in the plot introduced by the creators were allegedly intended to boost viewer engagement, but unfortunately, they did not resonate with the audience, leading to a decline in TRPs.
Pinkvilla has confirmed that the series will indeed go off-air, with the final episode scheduled to be broadcast on July 14, 2024. Additionally, Pinkvilla reports suggests that actor Manoj Chandila will join the cast as an antagonist. Chandila will portray Zorawar, the ex-husband of Gurnoor (the new character played by Himanshi Parashar). The plot will see Angad assisting Gurnoor in dealing with her issues with Zorawar.
However, there is no official confirmation from the makers or the lead actors yet. If the reports are to be believed, the show’s team is preparing to wrap up the storyline, with a new character introduced to facilitate this conclusion.
