The episode of Star Plus’ show Anupamaa tonight starts with Vanraj advising Anupama that life will frequently present her with difficult situations, but she must persevere at all costs. Anupama agrees, acknowledging that life will consistently challenge her, but she refuses to falter. While it’s challenging for her to leave her husband and daughter in their current circumstances, she believes it’s even more difficult to give up, so she is determined to go to America no matter what.
Anuj smiles as he overhears their conversation, and Vanraj commends Anupama for making the right decision before walking away. Gurumaa anxiously awaits Anupama’s arrival, but Nakul informs her of Maaya’s passing in a road accident. Gurumaa prays for the peace of Maaya’s soul and learns that the Kapadias have organized a condolence gathering for her. Although Gurumaa suggests attending the event, she is determined not to let Anupama skip her trip to the USA.
Anuj becomes alarmed when CA (Choti Anu) doesn’t respond to knocks on her door, and he informs Anupama. Everyone rushes to CA’s room, where Anuj and Vanraj forcefully open the door. They find CA sleeping, clutching Maaya’s photos, and softly calling out to her in her sleep. Anupama becomes emotional, lies down beside CA, and assures her that her mother is with her. CA embraces her and expresses her fear of being left alone again, apologizing for getting angry with her and hurting her mother.
Anupama cries, and when CA wakes up, she asks about Maaya’s whereabouts. She tries to call out to Maaya and requests Anuj to call her so she can apologize. Anuj attempts to calm her down, but CA becomes increasingly agitated. Gurumaa and Nakul attend the condolence gathering and inquire about the family’s location. They are informed that they are in CA’s room, trying to console her. Gurumaa suggests they go there, but Nakul questions whether it would be appropriate. CA continues to yearn for Maaya’s presence, and Anuj reveals that Maaya is gone forever and will not return. CA clings to Anupama, fearful of being abandoned by her as well. Gurumaa observes this, while Nakul expresses regret for their visit.
After comforting CA, the family comes downstairs. Anupama notices Gurumaa’s presence, and Gurumaa explains that they heard about Maaya’s passing and came to offer their support. She reminds Anupama that she needs to leave for the USA in a day. Anuj reassures everyone that Choti Anu is intelligent and capable of handling the situation, allowing Anupama to proceed with her plans. However, Anupama appears tense and conflicted, causing worry for Nakul and Malti Devi.
