Bigg Boss OTT 2 fans were in for a shock on Tuesday night when they saw Jiya Shankar making Elvish Yadav drink water mixed with hand soap. During the live feed, audiences were hooked on to an interesting task where wild card contestant Elvish Yadav was assigned the job of a dictator while other housemates had to follow his commands. As he asked Jiya for a glass of water, she mixed soap in it and offered it to him. Unsuspecting Elvish gulped down the water.
It was only after Jiya and Avinash Sachdev were caught laughing about it that co-housemate Abhishek Malhan raised an alert. After they smelled the water, they realised it was spiked, post which Elvish confronted Jiya. In her defense, she shared how the water looked contaminated and also smelled of soap, yet he drank it. She said Elvish should have known and been careful. While Avinash supported her, other housemates criticised her move of risking someone’s health.
On Twitter too, fans showed their displeasure at Jiya’s act and started a trend with ‘Shame on Jiya’. A fan page of Bigg Boss posted shared a video of Jiya and Avinash and wrote, “Inhumanity at its worst! These cheap people are laughing after seeing Elvish Yadav drinking water mixed with soap.”
Other comments on the micro-blogging site read, “Jia acts all goody goody but she isn’t a compassionate human being”, “Ye Dil k bhot bure hain seriously main inko aur nhi dekhna chahta inhe bahar kro #ElvishYadav,” and “This was so uncalled for. It could have caused him severe harm. Soap is not edible, doesn’t Jiya know that?”
Other fans also speculated how Salman Khan would definitely discuss this matter during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. The Bollywood star had been missing from the show last week but is expected to shoot for the next episodes.
After Bigg Boss OTT 2 got an extension for two week, Elvish Yadav and Aashika Bhatia were brought in as wild cards. Other than them, the show currently has Abhishek Malhan, Pooja Bhatt, Manisha Rani, Jiya Shankar, Avinash Sachdev, Falaq Naaz, Bebika Dhurve and Jad Hadid as contestants.
