We went home walking in water that reached our knees: Richa Rathore on the cast of RSHD getting stuck on sets

The heavy rainfall in Mumbai has wreaked havoc for the past few days, and despite the city’s resilience and the unwavering spirit of its people, yesterday proved challenging for the Mumbaikars. Certain areas experienced waterlogging and power outages, including the set of Zee TV’s show “Rabb Se Hai Dua,” where the cast found themselves stranded. However, they made the best of the situation, making it enjoyable. The actors were seen savouring tea, accompanied by snacks and songs, creating a lively atmosphere despite the circumstances.

India Forums got in touch with Richa Rathore, who essays the character of Ghazal in the show to talk about the same, and the actress revealed what exactly conspired. Richa said, ”Well, Around 7 pm, the lights went out. However, water logging started somewhere around 3–4 pm. The water had also entered our studio on the ground floor. Aditi and I stayed nearby, we could have left, but you know we had a lot of people with us, senior citizens too. Outside the gate of our studio, water had reached knee level. So our production advised us to wait on the terrace of our studio until the rains stopped. We were all waiting till around 10.30 pm in the night. But it was continuously raining. We had a lovely time on the terrace, though.”

The actress further added, ”All of us bonded well. We sang songs, played ‘antakshri,’ Dadi said some amazing shayaris. Tea was made for us; we were all starving, so we ate whatever snacks were available on the sets because stepping out or ordering anything was impossible. All the cabs and autos were blocked because of the water logging. Later we decided to stay at my or Aditi’s place. However, we decided to leave around 10.30 pm when the rains were slow. While a few cars finally made their way outside, we decided to walk to the main road and did that in water that reached our knees. It was adventurous. ( Giggles) It was scary initially, but later on, once we stepped in the water, we were okay.”

Further, we asked the actress if the shoot of her show was affected, and the actress said, ”The shoot was on until the lights went out. Until then, we were shooting. Thankfully, the water had reached only the ground floor of our sets, and we were shooting upstairs. We are all safe, and we are back on sets today.”

Well, we at India Forums are elated to know that the cast of Rabb Se Hai Dua is safe and sound. Have you ever had such an experience? Please share it with us in the comments below.
