YRKKH: Abhir refuses Akshara and Abhinav’s jam, Akshara breaks down

The episode begins with Abhi and Akshu discussing Abhir’s situation with the principal, emphasizing the challenges he has faced in his family life. The principal expresses concern about the significant changes Abhir has undergone, remarking that his heart must be broken. Abhinav notices Abhir and approaches him, sharing a heartfelt moment accompanied by the song “Ajnabi se hue kyu pal saare…”. Abhir appears irritated, but Abhinav lightens the mood by mimicking him, causing Abhir to laugh. They share a warm embrace as “Hai kya ye ankahi dastaan…” plays in the background. Abhinav continues to crack jokes, evoking more laughter between them.

Meanwhile, Akshu and Abhi observe the interaction. They acknowledge Abhir’s emotional pain but are determined to bring happiness to his life. They reassure each other that they won’t give up on making him smile and wiping away his tears. Abhi affirms their commitment, and Abhir questions whether he is a bad boy. This saddens Abhinav, but he consoles Abhir, reminding him that children, like butterflies, discover their own happiness over time. They share a heartwarming moment before Abhir is called inside by the peon.

Later, Abhir sits before the principal, who inquires about his favourite subject. Abhir responds that he enjoys all subjects. The principal asks if he is comfortable with the new city and school, to which Abhir honestly admits his discomfort but adds that a child’s heart is like a butterfly, always seeking happiness. This statement brings tears to Abhinav’s eyes. Abhir acknowledges that leaving behind old friends and memories is difficult but says he is learning to cope. Impressed by his response, the principal congratulates him and welcomes him to Udaipur International School. Abhi expresses gratitude, and Abhinav and Akshu share joyful smiles. Abhi then prepares to buy books and uniforms for Abhir, as the next day marks his first day at school.

Before leaving, Akshu stops them briefly and reveals that she has packed Abhir’s favourite jam and homemade chocolates, while Abhinav presents a gift. Surprisingly, Abhir refuses to accept them, explaining that the principal advised him to change his habits, including his jam-eating routine. He walks away with Abhi, leaving Akshu and Abhinav puzzled. Abhir’s unexpected decision perplexes them, as he typically enjoys these treats.

As tears stream down Akshu’s face, she drops the packet and can’t hold back her emotions. The melancholic melody of “bin tere…” fills the air, reflecting her sorrow.

At home, Abhi notices Abhir’s longing for Akshara and Abhinav and remarks that he misses his mom and dad. Abhir, however, insists that he is fine. Trying to comfort his wife, Abhi proceeds to tell a bedtime story to Abhir. But Abhir abruptly interrupts, expressing his disinterest and bids them goodnight. Abhi prays earnestly for Abhir’s well-being, while Akshu reminds him that it will be Abhir’s first day at school tomorrow. She discusses her thoughts with Abhinav, who suggests that they let Abhir have his own experience, stepping back to allow him to bond with Abhi as a father. Assured that everything will eventually fall into place, they decide to respect Abhir’s journey.

The next morning, Akshu prepares food in the kitchen. Muskaan nostalgically recalls how Akshu and Abhinav used to eagerly accompany Abhir on his first day of school, but now they are distant. Manish points out that Akshu is cooking for Abhinav and not him, to which Akshu clarifies that the food is for everyone. Muskaan insists that it’s specifically for Abhinav. In a playful manner, Akshu threatens to reveal this drama to Suwarna. Manish counters, claiming that Suwarna is attempting to intimidate them, and they will prepare their own special dish. The exchange ends with a smile from Akshu. Meanwhile, Manjiri receives a call from Abhi, who informs her that he is leaving the hospital and asks if Ruhi is ready. Manjiri assures him that she will get the children ready and asks him to come home soon. Abhi’s thoughts wander to Abhir’s first day at school, determined to make it a memorable and meaningful experience, recognizing that this is only the beginning.
